Obtaining an Immigrant Visa for your Spouse, Parent, Child, Fiancé or other Relative

If you wish to file a petition to obtain an immigrant visa for your spouse, parent, child, fiancé or other relative, you should contact U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security).  Please see www.uscis.gov.

Although most such petitions must be filed with a USCIS office in the United States, certain petitions can be filed at the USCIS office at the U.S. Embassy New Delhi.  For more information on whether your petition can be filed in New Delhi, please see http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/uscis.html.

For more information on the immigrant visa process once a petition has been approved, please see http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html.
