On behalf of the government and people of the United States, I would like to express my profound sadness over the tragic death of U.S. Army Specialist Hatim Siraj Kathiria on August 22, 2005 while serving with U.S. forces in Iraq. His honorable service has been recognized by the U.S. armed forces. The U.S. Embassy has conveyed its deepest sympathy, respect and support to his family.
