Statement by Ambassador David C. Mulford on the Appointment of Dr. Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister

New Delhi -- I congratulate Dr. Manmohan Singh on his appointment as India's Prime Minister. The United States and India have a strong bilateral relationship based on our common democratic values and shared interests. The United States looks forward to working with Dr. Singh and his government to further strengthen this relationship. I am confident that progress in US-India relations will continue to be positive.
