Join us on ExchangesConnect, an interactive international social network managed by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs, to learn more about exchange programs and share your international experiences.

The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi and Consulates in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai sponsor a variety of international exchange programs each year, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). These exchanges are designed to enhance mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and India. Some of the exchange programs we facilitate are:
You are an alumnus/alumna of a USG–sponsored program if you have participated in at least one of the following exchange programs:

• Study of the United States Institute for scholars (SUSI)

• Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES)
• The Salzburg Seminar

Participation in an exchange program is not a one-time event, but rather the beginning of an exchange of ideas that continues throughout a participant’s life.
