The "New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian Collective" presented a special concert in New Delhi on November 19, 2005 as a tribute to India for its support to the citizens of New Orleans and other victims of Hurricane Katrina. The US Department of State sent this group as a gesture of gratitude to India for its prompt help in the wake of Katrina.
