Renowned sitarist and vocalist Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan, accompanied by leading tabla player Sandeep Das, enthralled the audience at an evening of Sufi music organized by U.S. Embassy’s SPAN magazine in New Delhi, July 12, 2006.  The event also featured the famous qawwali artist Meraj Ahmed Nizami.  For over four decades, SPAN magazine has played the role of India’s “window to America.” This event was yet another effort by the magazine to strengthen the cultural bridge between the United States and India through the universal language of music.
