| Governor of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty and Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda sign a historic agreement in New Delhi on October 23, 2007, making Minnesota and Haryana sister states. Standing behind them at the signing ceremony is Minnesota state senator, Satveer Chaudhry. This is the first time in history that a U.S. and an Indian state have become sister states. Over 700 children benefited from Starkey's free hearing aid clinic, which was held on October 22-23 in conjunction with the visit of a business delegation from Minnesota led by Governor Pawlenty.
