How to Pay Immigrant Visa (IV) Fees

Fees are payable at the Embassy by cash (U.S. Dollars only), a credit card capable of U.S. dollar transactions, or by demand draft made in favor of "U.S. Embassy, New Delhi" according to the consular exchange rate. Immigrant visa fees are nonrefundable.

A few tips:

  • Please write the applicant's name and case number on the back of the demand draft.
  • Please pay VFS courier charges/Logistic fee per applicant by cash at the VFS office.
  • If the applicant has paid a total immigrant visa fee of $380 at NVC prior to January 1, 2008, he or she will not be required to pay the higher fee even if the interview is not until after January 1, 2008.
  • If the case involves refugee or significant public benefit parole case processing: No fees charged.
