The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi is seeking two individuals for the positions of Power Plant Operators in the Facilities Maintenance Services Office (FMS).

Level II (Full Performance Level) – FSN-5; FP-9
Level I (Trainee Level) – FSN-04; FP-AA

WORK HOURS: Full-time; 48 hours/week (shift duty)
SALARY: *Starting salary and grade will be determined on the basis of qualifications and experience.

Level I (Trainee Level) - FSN-4
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. Completion of two years course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in electrical trade after completion of high school (Class X).
2. Minimum two year practical experience in the electric power generation and distribution trade.
3. Level II (Limited knowledge) in English and in Hindi.
4. Good working knowledge of all utility equipment operations. Operation and maintenance of generator plants, HL/LT panels, electrical/electronic controls, water treatment systems, building automation systems, technical manuals, trade techniques, first air and safety practices.
SELECTION PROCESS
Qualified Eligible Family Members and applicants with U.S. Veteran Preference will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate address the required qualifications above in the application.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Eligible Family Members who currently hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of that appointment.
