BANGALORE ENGINEER WINS GLOBAL U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT VIDEO CONTEST

NEW DELHI - Bangalore-based Bijoy Thangaraj has been declared one of the worldwide winners in the U.S. Department of State's global online video contest "My Culture + Your Culture =?," it was announced today. His three-minute video "My Culture +Your Culture = World of Wonder" was selected by a panel of judges from more than 170 entries.
Thangaraj will be invited to the United States for a two week program to explore his professional and creative interests and be awarded a package of multi-media software provided by the Adobe Foundation.
"Bijoy's video captures the spirit of the competition, filled with colorful images of India, the United States, and cultures around the world. The soundtrack he composed is sensational with its uplifting tune and message of peace," said U.S. Embassy Spokesperson Elizabeth Fitzsimmons.
The global internet video competition was created by the State Department to encourage cross-cultural community building and mutual understanding.
