American Center to celebrate U.S. Independence Day

The American Center New Delhi will celebrate the United States of America's 235th Birthday at its annual bash beginning 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 2.  At the event, a customized laser show called "America Lit Up" will depict iconic American images set to music, while Aquamarine Productions will entertain the crowd with a medley of modern dance, Broadway and hip hop numbers.  DJ Manish will open the dance floor, and American artist Zachary Becker will be on hand to show off his exhibit, "Flags."

U.S. Embassy officials speaking in Hindi and English will welcome the crowd and give away prizes throughout the evening.  Event sponsors include Coke and PepsiCo.

Free passes are available at the American Center or by email request at amcenternd@state.gov.  In addition to a pass, photo ID is required for entry to the American Center.
