Town Hall Meeting for American Citizens on August 17, 2010

New Delhi- The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi will be hosting a Town Hall for American citizens on Tuesday, August 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Embassy Consular Section in Chanakyapuri.
U.S. Ambassador to India Timothy J. Roemer will discuss highlights from the U.S.-India relationship and what American citizens can expect from their Embassy and its staff. He will touch on the tremendous growth the partnership has seen in recent years, ranging from state visits to the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue.
In addition, Uzra Zeya, Minister Counselor for Political Affairs, will speak on the role of the Embassy's Political Office and how it works to advance U.S. interests in India. A regional security officer will also address Commonwealth Game security issues, and consular officers will take questions about voting and other topics.
This is an opportunity for U.S. citizens to hear directly from the Embassy's staff about goals and expectations for the U.S.-India partnership, and learn about how the Embassy works on behalf of American citizens to advance ties between the United States and India.
