Immigrant Visa Appointments

Effective December 23, 2013, all immigrant visa applicants must complete the DS-260 online immigrant visa application at and login to to schedule an appointment at Visa Application Center(VAC) for biometric fingerprint and photograph collection prior to their Embassy or Consulate appointment.  Failure to follow these new procedures will significantly delay visa processing.

The immigrant visa appointment schedule is posted for the current month by approximately the 15th of the previous month.  Simply click on one of the links below.  If you do not find your case now, please check back after we have posted the next month's appointments. If your appointment appears on the interview schedule but have not yet received an appointment letter within 3rd week of every month of your appointment, you may request a duplicate appointment letter by emailing  Applicants need appointment letters to attend medical examinations and to enter the Embassy for their interviews.  If you are waiting for your appointment letter to arrive, you may begin preparing for your interview by downloading the appropriate appointment packet.

Important: Please note, if we are unable to interview you at the Embassy on a given day for administrative reasons or for circumstances beyond our control, then you will receive a call/email directly from the Embassy requesting you to appear at the Embassy on another day. We request your cooperation in such instances.

Note: Our business days are Monday through Friday, except for U.S. and Indian holidays. The Immigrant Visa Unit will also remain closed to the public on the last Wednesday of every month.
